Upcoming Event | Send A Letter Back Home to Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals in China, which is held on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. It is also a traditional festival about family reunion--the traditions such as getting-together, eating moon cakes, making lanterns and guessing riddles are formed over time. Basically, it is a period of time all about being together of family members.

Maybe it is the first time for some of us to be far away from home, and you may miss your family and feel pretty homesick. This year, Diligentia College is going to organize an activity to enable you to “travel back home”, through a traditional way -- letters. We will provide some specially-made letter paper, envelopes, stamps so that you could send a letter back home (international mails will also be accepted).

Activity schedule:
Evening of 13th: letter paper will be delivered to each dormitory
12:00 Sept. 16th -- 12:00 Sept. 17th: students pick up envelopes and stamps at the front desk of your block
If you are happy to share some of the words in your letter, please feel free to send it to us (diligentia@cuhk.edu.cn) before 12:00 PM September 18th. We will help you share your feelings with the public via university official WeChat account.
