Potluck Party 3.0

This time we have more fun. Teachers from Diligentia College prepared five hotpots and eight tables for all of us in order to unite us to enjoy fruits, beverages and foods. I have felt more warmth with so many people together. It was like putting up a fire pot in the winter of Shenzhen and time passed with our joys and laughters. I look forward to more interesting themes next time!

The enthusiasm and passion during preparations impressed me most. All of us have taken great effort on this party. Besides, many students took their precious time to help make dumplings despite tense pressure of the final exam, which have touched me a lot.

We all contributed something of our own for this party. We ate and laughed together and hotpots seemed to have brought us even closer. I feel that Diligentia is more like a home and we are family.

Duang Duang Duang~ it's time for Potluck Party~ And also a welfare for students who have stayed in school during vacation. Hotpot 2.0~ our teacher guided lovely students to cook together and clean up the kitchen after finishing~ We also had dried coconuts and crispy durian cakes brought by Candy from Thailand. They were so tasty that I could eat nothing in the evening. Anyway, I look forward to next Potluck Party and wish everyone all the best in the new semester.

Steam floated slowly, blurring faces from the opposite table. Bubbles aroused from hotpots with mushrooms, corns and muttons. Fair-skinned hands picked up hot lambs with black chopsticks. Cherry dimples seemed to emerge on the face of a beautiful girl next table. I remember greetings and smiles from unacquainted girls met in the elevator, bringing bowls and chopsticks, crossing the canteen to the tables. They have become a family despite unacquaintance.

I was in charge of buying vegetables the day before and I also bought a lot of meat. Responsibility fell on my shoulders while pushing heavy shopping carts!! I found all the tablewares just at their places as soon as I entered the room and students filled the table with vegetable plates and I found one student having placed fresh shrimps into a perfect circle. Miss He cooked a fantastic sweet and sour ribs before the party. Some students brought spicy boiled fish and roast chicken. All of them seemed tasty. Gathering was for communicating instead of mere eating. Here's Candy sitting on my right and lively Yanrong Li on my left and she is a corn lover! We shared been-to places during vacation. Xinyu said that he went to Thailand during Xmas and it was fun to go to seaside and see different performances. He said he would like to go there again for unknown reasons...I took part in the event from the beginning till the end because I have a huge appetite while eating hotpots. We tried our best although there were still something left. It was good to waste nothing.
