Speaker’s Profile:
Cheng-si Wei obtained his Doctor degree of Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and his Master degree of History from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and East China Normal University. In 1980s, he taught history at East China Normal University. In 1990s, he served as Chief Editor of Mingpao Daily News and Asian Weekly, Controller of news department in Asia Television and Chief Editor of Singapao Newspaper. He is also the only distinguished professor of The Taihu College founded by Nan Huaijin.
His representative publications include History and Buddhism, Chinese Buddhism Culture, and The Trend of Chinese Intellectuals’ Development, etc.
