Visit from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Prof. James Penner-Hahn, Senior Advisor for International Partnership, College of Literature, Science and the Arts, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, visited CUHK-Shenzhen on 13 July 2018. During the visit, Prof. Penner-Hahn met with Prof. Yan Zhou, Co-Chair of Global Affairs Committee of School of Science and Engineering and Mr. Paul Ke, Director of Office of Academic Links, to explore collaboration opportunities in expanding the existing 3+2 Bachelor-Master Arrangement in Statistics to other areas.
Prof. Penner-Hahn held an information session after the meeting to introduce the University of Michigan and program details of the 3+2 Arrangement in Statistics to CUHK-Shenzhen students.
Considered one of the foremost research universities in the United States, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor ranks 28th in National Universities according to 2018 US News Ranking. Its College of Engineering ranked the highest among the university's graduate school programs, tying with the California Institute of Technology for fourth in the engineering graduate school rankings. Other graduate programs also maintained a top-20 ranking in all six categories in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing.
