Visit from the University of California, Irvine

Dr. William Tang, Professor of The Henry Samueli School of Engineering from UC Irvine, visited CUHK-Shenzhen on 6 September 2018. The purpose of the visit was to introduce UC Irvine and share program information of the 3+2 Bachelor-Master Arrangement and a 10-week Undergraduate Research Program with CUHK-Shenzhen students. Professor Tang was received by Professor Yan Zhou, Co-Chair of Global Affairs Committee and Associate Professor of School of Science and Engineering, and Mr. Paul Ke, Director of Office of Academic Links.

Founded in 1965, the University of California, Irvine is a world leading public research university and a member of the Association of American Universities. According to 2018 U.S. News & World Report’s, UCI ranked 42nd in National Universities. The Samueli School of Engineering is ranked 21st of best public engineering graduate schools. Its undergraduate program is ranked 27th among publics. 29 graduate programs ranked in nation’s top 50, including Electronic Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and more.
