Visit of University of California, San Diego
Prof. Lei Ni, Chair of Department of Mathematics from University of California, San Diego (UCSD), visited CUHK-Shenzhen on 14 December 2018 to explore collaboration opportunities between CUHK-Shenzhen School of Science and Engineering (SSE) and UCSD Department of Mathematics. Prof. Lei Ni was received by Prof. Changwen Chen, Dean of SSE, Prof. Yan Zhou and Prof. Tsung Hui Chang, Co-Chairs of Global Affairs Committee, and Associate Professors of SSE.
The University of California, San Diego is a public research university located in the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego and it is a member of the Association of American Universities. UCSD ranked 16th in Best Global Universities by 2018 U.S. News. Its graduate program in Mathematics ranks 19th in the nation. UCSD faculty, researchers and alumni have won 25 Nobel Prizes and 3 Fields Medals, 8 National Medals of Science and 2 Pulitzer Prizes.
