Department Functions

The Research Administration Office (RAO) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, is responsible of coordinating, organizing and managing scientific research at the university. The main task of the RAO is to focus on the frontier science and technology research of the country and to meet the domestic needs, according to the school-running plan of the university. RAO is also in charge of the overall planning for scientific research activities of the university, the making and implementing of relevant policies and regulations, providing assistance to co-operation between different departments of the university, integrating various research resources from the national, provincial and local levels, organizing project applications and follow-ups. In an effort to promote interdisciplinary research and academic exchanges, RAO is dedicated to protect intellectual property rights and the academic fame of the university, making contributions to the talent training and technological innovation of the university.
