Arts in the Cloud

"Arts in the Cloud” is an online live streaming activity organised by UAC, which will cover all-inclusive arts knowledge in the form of "Artists’ Sharing + Interaction". Relying on live broadcast platforms such as BiliBili and Zoom as the main channels, each episode is about 60-90 minutes in length, including a wide range of topics, such as literature, fine arts, music, design, drama and other categories. Artists who may be hard to meet offline will be invited “in the cloud” to create a collision of ideas with you and look into the all-sided future of arts and life from the elementary to the profound.

 

About the Guest

Professor Zheng Baizhong is a distinguish contemporary artist of Chinese Blue-green Landscape Painting. He is the Honorary President of Fujian Academy of Painting, a professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Xiamen University and Minjiang University, a researcher of China National Academy of Painting, a tutor of Landscape Painting Tutor Studio and Beijing Rongbaozhai Academy of Painting. He is also a National First-Class Artist, a member of China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association and China Painting Society. Professor Zheng Baizhong served as a judge for the National Landscape Paintings Exhibition, the National Art Exhibition for the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Liberation Army, the National Army Art Exhibition and the National Chinese Painting Exhibition for multiple times. And he had been a special guest of the 8th and 9th Congress of China Artists Association.

 

His works have been collected by the Ministry of Culture, China Federation of Literary and Art, China Artists Association, National Art Museum of China, Zhongnanhai, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, the Great Hall of the People, China Academy of Art, Smithsonian, the Carnegie Museum of Art, General Electric Museum and other important art institutions.

 

Professor Zheng Baizhong has compiled more than 20 publications, including History of Chinese Fine Arts, Lecture on Chinese Painting, Landscape Painting of Zheng Baizhong, Painting Collection of Zheng Baizhong, The World of Zheng Baizhong, and Painting Collection of Chinese Modern Artists -- Zheng Baizhong. He has made great contributions to the creation and education of Chinese painting in contemporary times.
