Arts in the Cloud

"Arts in the Cloud” is an online live streaming activity organised by UAC, which will cover all-inclusive arts knowledge in the form of "Artists’ Sharing + Interaction". Relying on live broadcast platforms such as BiliBili and Zoom as the main channels, each episode is about 60-90 minutes in length, including a wide range of topics, such as literature, fine arts, music, design, drama and other categories. Artists who may be hard to meet offline will be invited “in the cloud” to create a collision of ideas with you and look into the all-sided future of arts and life from the elementary to the profound.

 

About the Guest

Ms. Xie Yingbin is not only an opera singer with lifelong appointment from the Opéra National de Paris, but also the Deputy Artistic Director of Shenzhen Opera & Dance Theatre, as well as the Artistic Director and the Conductor of the Chorus of Shenzhen Opera & Dance Theatre.

 

In 1985, she graduated from the Voice & Opera Department of the Central Conservatory of Music and joined the China National Symphony Orchestra. In 1987, she was admitted into the Conservatoire de musique de Genève in Switzerland. In Europe, she worked with many renowned conductors and many celebrated European orchestras. In terms of opera, she played many roles in classic operas such as Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Cherubino and Marcelina), Romeo and Juliet (St é phono), and Verdi's La dame aux camélias (Flora). In 2002, she joined the Opéra National de Paris and was made Opera Singer with Lifelong Appointment. She has participated in more than 80 operas and a dozen odd operatic movie.

 

In July 2019, she joined the Shenzhen Opera & Dance Theatre and established the Chorus of the Shenzhen Opera & Dance Theatre in early September, which is the only professional operatic chorus in south China.
