【Media Talent Workshop】Significance of LQ
Have you ever said something that makes you feel embarrassed later? As the interpersonal communication is becoming increasingly frequent, good eloquence has become a must-have ability in modern society. If you can express your ideas properly, speak accurately with good rhetoric and beautiful voice, you would accomplish academic tasks or works with ease.
The ninth lecture of the Media Talent Workshop will be held in Room E206, Administration Building on December 7th. In this workshop, Ms. Jin Lin, an experienced anchor, will share her insight on how to improve the Language Quotient, how to control the rhythm of public speeches, and how to express viewpoints clearly and vividly to gain the recognition of the audience!

Speaker Profile:
Ms. Jin Lin is a famous anchor of various programmes, including "Longgang News", a mainstream news programme of Longgang District, “New Vision of Party Building", and large-scale documentary "Interview with Secretary" produced by Longgang Radio and Television Center. In the past 13 years, Ms. Jin has hosted nearly 500 important government activities and large-scale cultural galas in the district, including the one to celebrate the 26th Summer Universiade hosted in Shenzhen. With excellent speaking skills, she has been unanimously recognized by the community. As the audience commented, “serious and solemn in news programmes; relaxed and gentle in life programmes”, Ms. Jin’s style of hosting is just right wherever she is.
Abstract:
Language Quotient (LQ) refers to how well a person can learn, understand and master the language. Specifically, it refers to the speculative ability of language, the ability to express ideas and to respond properly in communication. When expressing the same meaning, some people come up with witty remarks, while others fail to express the exact meaning. If you can speak accurately with good rhetoric and beautiful voice, things will be much easier.
