University of Sussex President Visit CUHK-Shenzhen

Prof. Adam Tickell, Vice-Chancellor of University of Sussex led a delegation to visit CUHK-Shenzhen on 16th October.

Prof. Adam Tickell, Vice-Chancellor of University of Sussex led a delegation to visit CUHK-Shenzhen on 16th October. President Yangsheng Xu met the delegates at the lobby of Daoyuan building.

 

 

A meeting was held in terms of further exploring educational cooperation between CUHK-Shenzhen and Sussex. Ms. Victoria Shaw, Assistant Head of International Strategic Partnerships from University of Sussex, Prof. Jesús Seade, Associate Vice President for Global Affairs, and other representatives of Office of Academic Links in CUHK-Shenzhen attended the meeting.

 

In the meeting, both sides reviewed past cooperation. Starting from November, 2015 when Prof. Michael Davies, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Sussex visited CUHK-Shenzhen, two universities established multiple cooperation, including student exchange programme, joint degree programme and staff sharing programme during these two years. In 2016, Sussex established liaison office at CUHK-Shenzhen, which contributed to an advanced and beneficial collaboration relationship. With such solid foundation, both sides are confident with future educational and research cooperation in higher level and various fields. 

 

 

After the meeting, Prof. Xu and Prof. Tickell, as the representative of both sides, signed the Agreement on Administration Staff Exchange.
