16 New International Cooperation Programmes and 69 Cooperative Universities Released

In the first half of 2018, the University has signed 16 new cooperation agreements with 14 first-class universities in 8 countries. As of now, the number of overseas cooperative universities has increased to 69.

With the growing international reputation of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen ("the University"), the scope of international exchanges and cooperation has continued to expand with ever-increasing diversified international cooperation programmes. In the first half of 2018, the University has signed 16 new cooperation agreements with 14 first-class universities in 8 countries. As of now, the number of overseas cooperative universities has increased to 69.

 

According to these cooperation agreements, the University will cooperate with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies(Geneva, Switzerland), Bocconi University (Italy), University of Padova (Italy), University of Konstanz (Germany), Columbia University (USA), University of California, Los Angeles (USA), University of California, Riverside (USA), University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA), University of Texas at Dallas (USA), Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Méxice (Mexico), Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (Japan), Toyo University (Japan), Yonsei University (Korea), Mahidol University (International College) and other universities on student exchanges, overseas exchanges, summer programmes, 3+1+N Bachelor/Master joint degree programmes, and 4+1 Bachelor/Master joint degree programmes.

 

 

Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies(IHEID)

Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (l'Institut de Hautes études internationales et du développement, IHEID) has a global reputation in the fields of international relations studies, international law, international economics, international relations history and development studies. The University and IHEID signed an overseas exchange project agreement in March this year and will exchange two graduate students each year.

 

 

University of Konstanz

Founded in 1966, the University of Konstanz is a famous public university in Germany. As a reform university, the University of Konstanz has set up an inter-disciplinary collaboration since its establishment, which had broken the traditional division of single-orientation colleges. Our university and the University of Konstanz signed an agreement for overseas exchange projects in March this year and will exchange two graduate students or undergraduate students each year.

 

 

School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University (SIPA)

Following the "4+1" joint Bachelor / Master Degree Programme in 2017 between CUHK-Shenzhen and SIPA, this year the two universities will expand cooperation and the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University will be another choice for CUHK-Shenzhen students. According to the agreement, outstanding SME students of CUHK-Shenzhen may apply for one-year master's degree programs of the SPS College in the second semester of junior year, including Applied Analytics, Bioethics, Architectural Engineering Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Non-Profit Management and Strategic Communications. Students who meet the admission criteria will continue their study at Columbia University after graduating from a four-year undergraduate study.

 

 

University of California, Riverside

The University of California, Riverside is one of the 10 universities within the prestigious University of California system, one of the ten most influential public university systems in the world. Its business school is the largest among the ten universities in California and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and University of California, Riverside have reached a cooperation agreement and the two sides will carry out a "3+1+N" bachelor/master joint training programme. All SME students and Statistics undergraduates from SSE can apply for this programme.

 

 

University of Texas Dallas (UTD)

The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is a top-ranked university located in Richardson, Texas, United States. This top research public university in the United States belongs to the prestigious University of Texas system in the United States. School of Management and Economics, CUHK-Shenzhen and School of Management, UTD have signed a two-way exchange agreement which provides 6 places for each university each year.

 

 

Yonsei University

Established in 1885, Yonsei University is one of the oldest universities in Korea. It ranked 19th in the QS Asian University Rankings in 2018, and is known as S.K.Y. together with Seoul University and Korea University. Our university and Yonsei University have signed an overseas exchange programme agreement, and will annually exchange 4 undergraduate students.

 

 

Toyo University

Established in 1887, Toyo University was selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)'s "Top Global University Project, Type B (Promoting Globalization)". Our university and Toyo University signed an exchange agreement in April this year. From 2019 onwards, the two universities will exchange 5 undergraduate students each year.

 

 

Nagoya University of Commerce and Business

Nagoya University of Commerce and Business is Japan's third business university accredited by AACSB International and ranked 21st in the Asia Pacific Global MBA Rankings in 2018. In addition, its business school is the only school in Japan that is accredited by the AMBA. We signed an overseas exchange agreement in February this year and will exchange 4 undergraduates or postgraduates each year.
