The Consortium of Universities in Kyoto visited CUHK-Shenzhen

Mr. Ashikaga Ippei, Deputy Director of General Affairs Bureau and Deputy Chief of International Affairs Office (IAO), Ms. Sudo Kazue, IAO Officer from The Consortium of Universities in Kyoto, and Mr. Ronald Yeung, General Director of Association for Study in Japan Supports visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen on 20th August 2018.

Mr. Ashikaga Ippei, Deputy Director of General Affairs Bureau and Deputy Chief of International Affairs Office (IAO), Ms. Sudo Kazue, IAO Officer from The Consortium of Universities in Kyoto, and Mr. Ronald Yeung, General Director of Association for Study in Japan Supports visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen on 20th August 2018.

 

A meeting was held between The Consortium of Universities in Kyoto and CUHK-Shenzhen. Mr. Paul Ke, Director of Academic Links and other representatives from OAL attended the meeting. The aim of this visit is to explore potential collaborations in winter program and other cultural interaction activities between Shenzhen and Kyoto.

 

The winter program lasts for two weeks in late January and it offers excellent introduction courses and experiences about Japanese society and culture, including Business and Culture of Kyoto, Japanese Food Culture and Food Education, as well as Ikebana and Kabuki experiences.

 

Founded in 1998, the aim of The Consortium of Universities in Kyoto is to improve the level of education and academic research conducted at member universities and junior colleges, while strengthening cooperation and collaboration between them. The consortium strives to extend support for students, to enhance their growth, and to expand international cooperation and exchange, as to promote the internationalization of universities and colleges in Kyoto.
