Cooperation with The Graduate Institute, Geneva

Memorandum of Understanding & Student Exchange Agreement Signed with The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.

Prof. Philippe Burrin, Director of The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva (The Graduate Institute, Geneva) visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) on 6th March 2018.

 

During the visit, Prof. Yangsheng Xu, President of CUHK-Shenzhen welcomed the guest and expressed his warmest welcome. A Memorandum of Understanding and a Student Exchange Agreement were signed by Prof. Xu and Prof. Burrin. Prof. Jesús Seade, Associate Vice President for Global Affairs, Prof. Michael Ferguson, Executive Associate Dean, School of Management and Economics, and Dr. Wengao Gong, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, School of Humanities and Social Science attended the Signing Ceremony.

 

A lecture about The Graduate Institute, Geneva and the Student Exchange Programme given by Prof. Burrin was successfully held in the afternoon. Prof. Burrin introduced GI's educational philosophy, strong subjects and details of the Student Exchange Programme.  Prof. Burrin answered each student’s question accordingly with details and encouragement.

 

In addition, a meeting was held between GI and CUHK-Shenzhen to further discuss and explore other potential collaborations including 3+1+1 program, Co-supervised Postdoctoral Fellowship and Staff Sharing Programme.    

 

Established in 1927, The Graduate Institute, Geneva is a post-graduate university located in Geneva, Switzerland, which considered as one of the world's most prestigious institutions. In academic and professional circles, the institution is well-recognized for its study in International Affairs, International Law and Development Studies.
