The 2017 Longgang Innovation Boot Camp held by Longgang government and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen joint with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong Entrepreneurship Alumni Association, was honored the title of Excellent Project of the 13th Creative December.

2017 Shenzhen Creative December Innovation Boot Camp carries on the concept of 2016 Creative December Longgang International Challenge of Design, aims at inspiring the spirit of creativity and encouraging the practice of cultural innovation through cultural experience, lecture exchange and boot camp competition.

This Inoovation Boot Camp is consisted of sections such as workshops, lectures, visitings, alumni mentors exchanges, competitions and so on. On December 1st, the seven-day Innovation Boot Camp started with a master forum. We invited Eric Wegerbauer, the creative director of Ogilvy & Mather, and Prof. Lin Bangyuan, the father of Minute Maid to give us lectures. During December 2nd to 3rd, Teacher Zhao yusi from CUHK(SZ) CIDE, as well as Teacher Jonathan Wang,Rosanna Lo and Jane Wen from CUHK Entrepreneurship Center, led students to visit Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, Entrepreneurship Center of CUHK, V54 Building and PMQ. These wonderful activities promote students’ understandings of science and technology, art, culture, and creativity, and warm them up for the upcoming competition at the same time.

On December 8th, the boot camp entered the final section. In CUHKSZ Financial Research Institute for Advanced Study, CEOs such as the director of CUHK Entrepreneurship Center, Jonathon Wo guided students to think innovatively.

In the following weekend, students actively devoted themselves into preparing the innovative business proposals. In the afternoon of December 10th, after being selected, the students in the Boot Camp exhibited their final innovation design. They were judged by Teacher Tongning, the Director of China Global Philanthropy Institute Research Department, Nixon Chau, the Chairman of CUHK Entrepreneurial Alumni Association, and Professor Lin Bangyuan, the father of Minute Maid. After the fierce competition, the Authentic group finally won the championship and gained the start-up capital to help implement their project.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen actively encourages students to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship. The school sets CIDE to provide students with startup-related curriculums and lectures and hold competitions regularly to select excellent project landing. We sincerely hope that more and more students can be inspired through various activities held by CIDE.
