Dr. Michael Anderson, Director of Minnesota English Language Program, Ms. Leah Brink, Program Director of GO Minnesota, and Ms. Elise Rayner, Marketing & Communications Specialist of GO Minnesota from the University of Minnesota (UMN), visited CUHK-Shenzhen on 16 March 2018 to introduce UMN and administer the Minnesota Battery Test onsite. CUHK-Shenzhen students interested in the GO Minnesota program could take the test right on campus. The Minnesota Battery Test is an English proficiency test that is accepted by UMN as proof of language proficiency, so that students would not need to take the TOEFL or IELTS exam as part of their application while they applying for GO Minnesota Semester Visiting program or other degree programs offered by UMN.
