CHEN Yong is an expert on energy and environment, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia, Standing Committee member of China Association for Science and Technology, research fellow of the Guangzhou Branch of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was also Deputy Director of the 10thFive Year Plan National 863 Energy Expert Committee, President of Guangzhou Branch of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director of the South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Association for Science and Technology. He is now member of academic committee of National Key Laboratories of Coal Combustion, Clean Energy Utilization and Multiphase Flow. His academic focuses are organic solid waste utilization, energy utilization, biomass energy utilization and energy strategy. He has led nearly 50 research projects, published over 260 papers, edited five books, co-edited seven books, obtained over 50 patents, won six national or provisional research awards, and Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award.
Abstract:
The lecture will focus on the significance of adopting an innovation-driven development strategy, and introduce the background and concept of urban and rural mines as well as the technology and system necessary for the development thereof.
