讲座概要：
Humans have struggled with insect-borne diseases for thousands of years. Malaria, Yellow Fever, and other tropical diseases limited colonization of Africa by Europeans while Yellow Fever became a scourge in the Caribbean and Latin America.The threat of Malaria and other insect borne diseases continues up to the present day. Deaths from Malaria have declined significantly since 2001. Newly emerging insect-borne disease like Zika Virus pose new threats to public health.
