Culture Festival of Diligentia College

From 13th to 15th April 2018, the Diligentia College Festival jointly organized by Diligentia College and Han Yi Student Union, who launched an upsurge of antiquity in the university. Hanfu Exhibition and Garden Party bring a grand feast for teachers and students. It is like going back to a thousand years ago when the ancients are playing games with wine hold in hand, watching the spring clothes, listening to the elegant songs. Under the colorful lights, it is like in a dream and the Chinese culture really impressed us.

Diligentia et Sapientia | The Colonial History and Urban Landscape of Hong Kong

On March 26, 2018, it is Diligentia College’s great honor to have our Honorary Professor Ou Fan Leo Lee and his wife, Mrs. Ziyu Lee, as our guest speakers in Diligentia et Sapientia VI. Prof. Lee has called himself as a “foxlike scholar”. He is an expert at traditional Chinese, urban and popular culture. This time, his was going to talk about Hong Kong by leading everyone to discuss the unique colonial history and urban landscape of the city.

On 9th Feb, 2018, the Great Hakka Get Together was hold in Diligentia courtyard. Combining potluck and reunion lunch, this event carried best wishes from college to every student.

Diligentia et Sapientia | Movie and Literature, History and Arts

On 23rd Oct, the “first” Diligentia et Sapientia in new semester was joined by Prof. Lee Oufan, the first speaker in Diligentia et Sapientia series of lectures. Prof. Lee had talked about literature, city/history and shared his stories last semester. This time, he would like to talk about movie and the relationship between movie and literature.

2017 Ice-breaking Activities of Diligentia College

On September 1, 2017, ice-breaking activities were held in Liwen Building by Diligentia College. It was the first time that hundreds of Diligentia College students have been gathered together to embrace their first group activity since the establishment of the College.

Delegates of Diligentia College visit Colleges in CUHK Ⅱ

On May 26th, led by Ms. Shenzhen Huang, director of University Planning and Coordination Office (UPCO), delegates of CUHKSZ’s three colleges paid a visit to the Chinese University of Hong Kong. This visit was organized by Mr. Kin Chung Yuen, vice president of CUHKSZ, and UPCO. We had sharing sessions about college system and student services with other three colleges in CUHK, they are the C.W. Chu College, the Wu Yee Sun College and the United College.
