Academician Steve Chen is a member of the National Academy of Engineering of United States and American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a world-famous expert on supercomputing and the founder and CEO of the Third Brain Research Institute. His team developed the first scientific parallel vector supercomputer, CRAYXMP/2 and XMP/4, high-performance computer with general CPU for large corporations, and the first 128-blade supercomputer. He also developed TONBU, an Internet-based, dynamic, cost-effective intermediate software that allows inter-enterprise collaborative work, and the world’s first supercomputer-based, global-network-induced power-grid-like super information web.
The Third Brain Research Institute established by Academician Steve Chen is dedicated to leading research programs on the protection, development and extension of the human brain. The worldwide research work is supported by SCP, a safe, efficient, distributed and collaborative super grid cloud platform.
