Songs of Joy and Gratitude: CUHK-Shenzhen 2019 Concert

The 2019 Concert of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was held in Shenzhen Concert Hall on the evening of November 24, 2019. The concert showcased the fusion of classical and modern pop music, and brought Eastern and Western cultures together on one stage.

The 2019 Concert of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was held in Shenzhen Concert Hall on the evening of November 24, 2019. The concert showcased the fusion of classical and modern pop music, and brought Eastern and Western cultures together on one stage.

 

Annually, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen holds a concert to show the talent of students and staff, and to deliver joy and gratitude to society. The performances' richness and the greater challenge presented by some of the selected pieces can fully demonstrate the performers' abilities.

 

In 2019, the shows included the ensembles of classic Chinese Orchestra, and Philharmonic Orchestra, Shaoxing Opera, and dance performance by Parents Art Troupe. Special guests, Chinese pop singer Danzeng Nima and Chinese musical actor Liu Yan, brought a wonderful performance with prolonged applause from the audience. The grand finale was presented by the CUHK-Shenzhen chorus, with deep love for the university and a sincere blessing for the motherland, marking a perfect ending of the 2019 concert.

 

The Shenzhen Concert Hall was fully packed with an audience of over 1600 people, who were captivated from start to finish. The excellent cooperation between students, staff and many other talented musicians celebrated a magnificent future of CUHK-Shenzhen.
