Review | Shaw College letter writing activities: parents that I am very good at Shaw
In the evening of October 3, 2017, over 100 students and teachers from Shaw College celebrate mid-autumn festival and write letters to home.
Light and music accompany.Like the curtain rising up, the stage is instantly lighten up by the graceful dance of the performer and the applause of the crowd.
Chinese dance: Tear of the wintersweet
Performers: Elite Dance Group:
The elegant postures of the dancers remind us of the wintersweet flying in the sky.The dancers in white shadow.
The mid-autumn festival begins shortly after the dance.Apart from the performance, delicious food is also an essential part of the dinner. Homesickness strikes no matter if you are hungry or not. Under the bright moonlight, students write letters to express their feelings after dinner.Homesickness is written on the letter through the ink and delivered to the faraway home by the postman. How could one thin letter contain feelings so deep? And how could words ever be enough?
The long distance makes letter so priceless as if the parents are meeting their child in person.
‘I will write 10 letters tonight’, said Deng Kemai, a girl away from home.
Suddenly, the sound of guitar and drum emerges and the stage lights up.
