Prof. Zheng Baichong, a distinguished master of contemporary Chinese landscape painting, bird-and-flower painting as well as seal cutting. He was born in Fuzhou in 1945. He is currently Professor of Xiamen University, Dean of China Academy of Chinese Painting, Member of China Artists Association, Member of China Calligraphers Association, and Director of Chinese Painting Institute.

Prof. Zheng Baichong's paintings are collected by China's Ministry of Culture, China Academy of Art, the National Art Museum of China, Zhongnanhai, Diaoyutai State Guest House, the Great Hall of the People and museums in the U.S., etc. He has won various art awards in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and the U.S. So far, Zheng Baizhong has held over 50 solo exhibitions in major cities around the world.

He has published more than 20 books, including A Brief History of Chinese Art, Chinese Painting Lecture, Zheng Baichong's Mountains and River, and Art Book of Chinese Modern and Contemporary Artists, Zheng Baichong. Prof. Zheng Baichong has made positive contributions to creation and education of modern Chinese painting.
