MOU with Sungkyunkwan University

The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Sungkyunkwan University will cooperate in exchange of students and faculty, scientific research, and joint training projects. The first round of student exchange program will be launched in the autumn of 2017.

Recently, professor Joe Qin, Vice President of CUHK (SZ) (External & Student Affairs), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Cooperation between The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Sungkyunkwan University” with Suke Kyu Lee, Vice President (International Affairs) of this Korean university. Two sides will cooperate in exchange of students and faculty, scientific research, and joint training projects.

 

In addition, they executed a student exchange agreement to specify the measures to proceed with such cooperation. The first round of student exchange program will be launched in the autumn of 2017, when both sides are to select two students to study for half a year at their partner university.

Sungkyunkwan University is a famous Korean university with more than 600 years of history. With 26,000 undergraduates and 8,400 postgraduates, it ranked No. 17th in 2015 and No. 19th   in QS Asian University Ranking in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Its 23 disciplines rank among the world’s top 100,  50 of which inching up to top 50, including Modern Language, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics and econometrics, Computer science, Mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Chemistry and Materials Science.
