Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assisting teachers in preparing teaching materials;

2. Offering consultation to students;

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, leading to longer-term appointment or tenure later, subject to successful performance evaluation and mutual agreement. In cases where a candidate has an established record of excellence and demonstrable potential for continued success, tenure may be offered to the candidate at the time of initial appointment.

 

        i) Full Professor

A Ph.D. degree in international relations (international security, international political economy, and global governance preferred or related areas). Applications are invited for faculty position at the rank of full professor level with prospect for tenure, subject to the qualifications and successful performance evaluation. Candidates are expected to have a proven record in high-quality teaching and research in the expertise areas. Priorities will be given to candidate with management experience and skills in program planning, curriculum development and student supervision, and a proven record of research publications in competitive international outlets.

         ii) Assistant Professor or Lecturer in international political economy

A Ph.D. degree in political science, economics, and related subjects from an internationally prestigious university, and should be able to teach graduate courses such as foundations of international political economy, international trade, international economics and business, international finance and monetary system, multinational corporations in international economics and so on.

 

Applicant for assistant professor position should have a proven record of teaching excellence and high-quality publications. Lecturer should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English and strongly commit to continuously improve the teaching and conduct high-quality research.

                 i) Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor

 

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area of psychology. Applications are invited for faculty position at the rank of full professor/associate professor level with prospect for tenure, although junior candidate with very competitive academic records may be considered for position of assistant professor. Priorities will be given to candidate with expertise in industrial/organizational psychology, and clinical/counselling/health psychology, although other specialization areas will also be considered.

Candidate for full professor or associate professor position is expected to have solid evidence of excellence in teaching/research/service, and a strong track record of sustained high-quality research/scholarship outcomes in the expertise area(s), as evidenced by research publications in competitive international outlets (e.g., SSCI- or SCI-indexed journals) in the relevant areas of psychology. In addition, candidate need to demonstrate academic leadership and strong commitment to the highest standard of excellence. Candidate is advised to provide quality indicators for the journals where he/she have research publications (e.g., journal impact factor, journal ranking in a relevant category, as available in the Journal Citations Reports of the Web of Science).

The appointee is expected to be able to teach a range of courses in core areas of psychology. Experience in supervising postgraduate students will be favorably considered.

 

                ii) Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer

 

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area of psychology, proven record of teaching excellence and professional experience in psychological service provision.
